'Passing Through'

There's an interesting tension in the contrasts of life.  Joy, growth and delicate beauty stand defiant against a sometimes, abstract and intense sky.  It's that moment when a storm threatens the sunshine that hope find's it's colour even when dark skies gather.  It's a celebration of resilience.
 
Part of the inspiration for this artwork came from the natural process of painting itself, allowing the image to organically emerge from the brushstrokes and contrast, resulting in an abstract yet representational piece.
